Internet Safety
The internet is a wonderful tool to use for research, homework, and even social networking. It is important to be mindful of safety procedures when using the internet. As stated above, you should never give out personal information. People may use this information to harm you in some way. Never meet up with anyone that you come across on the internet unless you personally know them. Some people may be lying about who they really are, how old they really are, or what they actually look like. Talk to your parents. Let them know what sites you are visiting and who your friends are on those sites. Make sure that your parents okay any photos that you post of yourself. Be careful who you give your password to. The only people that should know your password are your parents and you. You should wait until you are old enough to be on any social networking site. There are reasons that these guidelines are put into place, and it is for your safety. Before downloading anything that may pop up, ask your parents. Some files have viruses that can harm your computer or steal your family's personal information. If you follow these safety tips, you can fully enjoy the worldwide web!
